These conditions are an integral part of the Valais Mountain Card.
The Valais Mountain Card is a personalized card linked to a credit card or Twint account. It entitles the holder to ski in all participating resorts and to access participating thermal baths, on an individual basis at the rate of 4 hours (if available), half a day or a full day, depending on the conditions applied by the resort. The resorts of Aletsch Arena, Belalp and Bellwald also offer single trips and consecutive days. This contactless card replaces the need to pay at the ticket office. The amount is automatically debited from the credit card or Twint account associated with the Valais Mountain Card within 24 hours of use. This card cannot be used for single trips or for return trips to beginner areas, nor for sledge passes or multi-day passes (except for Aletsch Arena, Belalp and Bellwald, which offer single days as well as single trips and consecutive days).
The card is based on a user-friendly “no-click buy” system and can be purchased online for adults aged 17 and over and children up to 16. The Valais Mountain Card has no basic fee, and only a one-off administration charge of CHF 10 per card. The Valais Mountain Card can also be purchased at the ticket offices of selected partner lifts for CHF 1. Simply scan the QR-code, confirm your registration and head off to the slopes!
The Valais Mountain Card you receive will accompany you on a long term basis - so keep it safe for the future. Additional orders in the event of loss, replacement, etc. cost CHF 10 each. The Valais Mountain Card is valid in all participating ski resorts in winter and in all participating thermal baths all year round.
The following cannot be used with the Valais Mountain Card:
It is the responsibility of each Valais Mountain Card customer to use the Valais Mountain Card for its intended purpose (4-hour rate if available, half-day or full-day rate). Any errors in use and resulting false invoices must be contested directly by the customer to info@valaismountaincard.ch. There is no entitlement to replacement or reimbursement following an incorrect use.
Anyone wishing to purchase a Valais Mountain Card must have a valid e-mail address. Valais Mountain Card reserves the right to cancel the subscription without notice in the event of an invalid address. Registration is made online at www.valaismountaincard.ch or at the ticket offices of selected partner lifts.
The customer completes the necessary contact details. In the event of questions or problems, customers can contact customer service (e-mail: info@valaismountaincard.ch).
However, Valais Mountain Card partner destinations refuse to carry out registration on behalf of the customer, as the latter enters personal data when registering.
The customer pays a one-off administration fee of CHF 10 per card or CHF 1 when registering using the QR-code at the ticket offices of selected lift partners. The validity of the card is automatically extended each year. Additional orders (e.g. in the event of loss, replacement, etc.) cost CHF 10.
Customers may cancel their Valais Mountain Card at any time via their online profile. In the event of cancellation, the administrative costs will not be refunded to the customer. The open amounts of the services used will be taken into account.
The price of a ski day is set by the participating partner. The chosen destination charges the current day pass price. Valais Mountain Card holders can obtain information on the current daily price directly from the participating partner.
The cost of ski days used (and/or spa admissions) is charged to the customer's credit card or Twint account at least once a week.
For ski passes, amounts of 50 cents or more are rounded mathematically to 50 cents.
If the amount cannot be debited from the customer's credit card or Twint account, the customer will receive a total of three reminders within seven days. The Valais Mountain Card is automatically blocked after three reminders if payment has not been made.
If payment is still outstanding one month after the first reminder, the customer's card will be cancelled.
It is the customer's responsibility to update his data via his customer account. Valais Mountain Card holders are automatically informed by e-mail 30 days before the expiry date of the credit card they have deposited. Reminders are sent on a weekly basis. In the event of membership fees being deducted, and if the credit card or Twint account is refused, the Valais Mountain Card of the customer concerned is automatically blocked until the latter has updated his or her data online.
The Valais Mountain Card company and partners cannot be held responsible for such blocking. Expiring credit cards must be updated before they expire. If no changes are made, the associated Valais Mountain Card will be blocked on expiry of the credit card's validity until the necessary information is updated.
In the event of loss of the Valais Mountain Card, the customer must immediately cancel the Valais Mountain Card via his online profile to prevent misuse by third parties. The Valais Mountain Card will then be blocked to prevent any misuse by third parties.
The customer must pay a fee of CHF 10 for the replacement of the lost Valais Mountain Card, which includes the provision of a new data carrier (Keycard).
The Valais Mountain Card is personalized and non-transferable. Misused or falsified tickets and ski passes will be confiscated and the Valais Mountain Card customer profile blocked.
